Properties and advantages:

  • A systemic fungicide used to treat rot and root decay caused by organisms such as Pythium and Phytophthora species.
  • Has a strong effect on leaves that are sprayed, so proper spraying techniques must be followed to ensure thorough coverage of affected or susceptible areas.
  • Affects both sensitive and resistant strains of Phytophthora to metalaxyl.
  • Spraying can be repeated every 5-7 days in cases of severe infection.
  • Non-toxic to bees.
  • Targets Phytophthora fungi causing late blight in potatoes and tomatoes, as well as root zone diseases (crown rot) and downy mildew in crops like lettuce, grapes, onions, and cucumbers.
  • The compound has been effective in treating early blight in potatoes.
